BACKGROUND

It all started at a bar. A couple college fraternity brothers were procrastinating studying for finals when they noticed some board games on a shelf and thought, “what if we could make beer pong into a board game?" But alas, the boys had no money or relevant skills to make it happen...

Until one day, they happened upon a community makerspace and discovered that for a relatively low monthly fee they could gain access to and training on all the tools they needed to turn their idea into a reality. After many rough prototypes, their first concept, Mini Beer Pong, was born.

It started out rough. Games were being hand finished and assembled afterhours in a corner of an unheated garage in the dead of winter in Minneapolis as the team of non-salesmen whimsically tried to figure out how to get their game out for the world to see. Thanks to partnership with Uncommon Goods in 2014, MBP started appearing at more and more happy hours around the country and the business slowly started to take off.

In 2016, the group launched their second game, Mini Flip Cup, another finger flickin' fun take on an American social classic.  What started out as a side-hustle is now a full-time operation. The guys are super busy developing more creative ways to keep you entertained, so stay tuned for the next late night idea!
